Very fancy looking... but thats it. Its basically a very fancy PDA, it has been all done before all apple does is add its 'candy' interface (which i have to admit its very cool looking but candy all the same).

such a small portion of the keynote and making it look bad. Get the real thing here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf07/ The iPhone is a PDA phone, with a widescreen iPod Video and a real web browser built in, plus standard stuff like a 2.0MP camera and a speakerphone. It includes WiFi, Bluetooth and EDGE for wireless data. Also, there is a 4GB and 8GB model. The phone is 2.5 X 4.5 X .46 inches, just a tad bigger than the current iPod Video. There is no hard keyboard, and instead it has a touch-screen keyboard for text, e-mail, web browsing, whatever. The web browser is Safari, not a stripped down PDA style browser. You can see the whole web page. It has an accelerometer to cause the phone to switch to widescreen mode automatically when you turn it, a proximity sensor that shuts the touch screen off so you don't accidentally hit numbers when you put it next to your face, and a light sensor to make the screen brighter and darker when it needs to be. The phone also has a feature called Visual Voicemal that allows you to choose the VM you want to hear by touching it. But the feature that sets it apart is that it has a multitouch screen. This is different from the standard touch screens, since it accepts multiple touch points, not just one. Because of this, you can use two fingers to zoom in and out of things, and you can flick your finger to scroll up or down your list, or go to the next photo. You really need to see most of the keynote presentation to appreciate the iPhone. Ignore these little pieces, because they don't give you any real info.

is the price - not the price of the phone itself. It's expensive, but that's a one-time cost. The service is most likely going to be VERY costly, and I'm paying enough as it is. Looks to me like this device is going to need at least another $60 per month just to use it. This phone most likely will be used by executives and people who don't know what to do with all the money they have. As for me, I have a while before I get there...
